I was able to catch a re-run of the most recent SNL At Home production. From inside of various location studios or homes, SNL was able to provide an excellent quality production with a multitude of special guests on top of their already powerful comedians.
I initially tuned in to only view the very mild parody of Dr. Fauci portrayed by actor Brad Pit. I then became immediately enamored with the somewhat hilarious skits that followed, including the trademark commercial parodies that always seem to catch you by surprise; not to leave out a hammer on our nation’s President.
The quality of cameras, sound and studio effects used to hammer home the COVID-19 themed skits were top notch as they found plenty of pertinent material from the writers, actors and comedians. Some of the special guests included Charles Barkley, Adam Sandler, DJ Khalid and Lindsey Buckingham (of Fleetwood Mac). They even had a quarantine performance by a musical artist that kept the signature SNL experience alive.
One of the best quarantine productions I have yet seen on national television.
