An American style diner in Tucson, Arizona that really seemed like eating at Mom’s. I can’t say like eating at my mother’s house because she wouldn’t imagine serving portion sizes as they are here at Bobo’s.
Giant plate-filling and good Biscuits and Gravy, tender Chicken-Fried Steak, huge Omelets with awesome Home Fries and the most perfectly cooked fried eggs we have seen in a long time. A short-stack of Blueberry Pancakes that took up the entire plate . . . with only two cakes. Absolutely delicious.
Bobo’s provides a hospitality that is rather similar to Mom’s. The servers and staff are exceptionally friendly and warm-hearted. The coffee never ran out and the food was super hot like it just came off the grill. This was a holiday Monday and there were barely any seats or tables available. My understanding is this place gets long lines out the door. Today we got lucky, but it was still very full . . . like our bellies before a long trip back home.
A couple of shortfalls that I quickly overlooked included not having a house-made corned beef hash even despite offering a corned beef sandwich for their lunch menu. They also didn’t have a house-made sausage. I was told that the corned beef hash was still rather tremendous as I saw a large plate of the popular order go by.
The food here at Bobo’s is worthy of stopping by again, especially if heading on a long road trip. The delicious food offerings and huge portion sizes will surely get you through a full tank of gas until you have to stop again. We made it to Yuma . . . and still weren’t hungry.
