Want to get the job of your dreams? First step is to show up on time for the job interview. If you can’t show up on time for the interview, do you think your future employer believes you’ll show up to work each day on time with a smile on your face?
I have in the past, waited and waited for a home improvement contractor to show up just for obtaining a quote. The first standard I use to select a contractor is if they can show up on time for the job interview, scope and quote. Angel, a contract manager from Edison Home Improvement, showed up on time and passed his initial job interview.
The first job of trying to get the job has always been . . . show up on time. This has always been a ‘must do’ when you interview for that big job at that new tech firm and should also be the first step in gaining a contract. Edison was a great interview, especially with Angel asking the right questions, pointing out some oversights in my desires for getting the work done, and keeping the interview short and to the point.
Angel took a couple of quick pictures, reassured me of the quality of service expectations and left just as quick as he arrived. His appraisal of the work and quote was returned swiftly and was on target for contractors performing the same work.
Edison Home Improvement would have the job locked down, hands down with this great job interview.
