Very busy on this Sunday noon lunch hour. I have eaten here a couple of times and have enjoyed the Martinez Special, #1 from the menu each visit.
The attraction here is lamb. A large portion of their menu features various twists on the Texcoco influence of lamb in their cuisine. They also serve other Mexican favorites but don’t have the same offerings that Californians commonly desire from the local taco shack on the corner.
Vamos a Texcoco is well known for their style of cuisine, and its good. The lamb is tender and flavorful and makes a nice option for when my ‘lamb-low light’ comes on.
