A Good Day in the Basil Mines

This is the first of harvest from the new garden. Can’t wait for this to be a regular thing.

  1. Great photos as usual. Your garden is way ahead of mine which is currently being bombarded with hailstones and sleet – another Irish Summer is about to arrive – sometime.

    1. This is our first “real” garden. I hope to learn some skills from seasoned gardeners like you. Frantically buying canning jars.

      Thanks for the views.

    1. Smelled even better. Thanks. Made it into a nut and cheese free Thai Chee Pesto. Wife and Daughter in Law said it was “bomb”.

  2. Lucky you that you can grow basil. Love the stuff, but too cold here. When we stayed on the west coast in Argyll, we managed to grow it in our greenhouse, but had to watch for botrytis.

    1. Where is Argyll? I haven’t yet ever experienced botrytis. I know what it is, just not common for me. Hope it remains that way so I can continue the great harvests.

      Thanks for the comment.
